We would like her to pass at home with the whole family here. The vet here allows only 1 person. She is struggling to breathe and cannot keep any food down. She also cannot litter herself. We adopted her because she had been almost crushed in her windpipe by a Doberman, nobody wanted her and the owners ahd a new baby coming. We gave her an extra 4 years..

There is no ethical and legal way to put a cat to sleep without a vet. Period.

If you're in the USA you don't, it's called cruelty to animals if you do it yourself, even if it is gently. It doesn't cost much to have them euthanized at the vet if you are going to dispose or bury the pet afterward.

killing them ...............i feel that a person should not want to put any animal down to sleep. for it is not ready to go to heaven and when it is then god will take them.

also why would you want to hurt you pet if they are in pain. Go to the vet and allow them you give your pet a shot that puts them to sleep and they don't feel any thing.

but to answer your question is impossible because there are no nice ways to kill an animal. and if you do decide to kill you pet then may god be with you and understand way you are taking his creatures' life away.

You cannot.
It is illegal

Not only that, but anthing you did would cause the cat true terror and distress.

If this is the poster with the elderly cat ........ PLEASE take her to the vet

If it is about the money, it shouldn't be. Your cat gave you an entire lifetime of love. You agreed to keep it for its life, which includes its final days.

Take it to a VET and cough up the $35 the vet will charge to put the animal down. It deserves no less from someone it has given its own love to for its whole life.
