How do I stop our cat from peeing on the carpet?
I recently asked how to get rid of the cat pee smell, as we thought the cat had stopped doing it, but she's at it again....We live in a studio apartment below my inlaws and the cat belonged to them, along with another cat. When we moved in Casey, now our cat, started hanging out in our place to get away from the other cat. So after awhile we decided to adopt her and feed her. She has only started peeing in the house since we started feeding her and it is always in the same place, under the computer table. I bought litter (she is about 15 years old) and showed her where it is (in the bathroom) and continued to show her after eating but she hasn't touched it once. Apparently she used to use the litter when she lived up stairs, but she also peed under their computer table a couple of times too. I thought she had stopped, as she hadn't done it for about a month, but then this morning she did it again. Is there something wrong with her, or is she just getting old?

You should consult your veterinarian, just in case. Sometimes this can signify a health problem, especially in an elderly cat. also, sometimes elderly cats will stop using the litterbox , especially if its different from where they are used to or on a different floor. This probably won't help much, ask a vet.

There are "cat repellent" sprays you can get that will make her favorite spot under the computer table smell like a hot pepper factory and she will avoid it.

Or you could try meeting her halfway and putting the litter box under the computer table. After she (hopefully) starts using it again you can try relocating it to the bathroom again.

It sounds like a territory dispute. She is marking some spots as hers exclusively and doesn't want the other cat to come near that spot. Who uses the computer the most?

Whomever that is the cat loves you the most. That is probably not what you want to hear!

i know how you feel 1st thing is to clean the carpet with bioligicol powder then you have to put surgicawl spirit on the area depending on how many times it has been there that should work if all else fails you have to rip the carpet up
