I adopted a 10 week old kitten back in July. He was a tiny little thing and cute as can be. Now he's a BIG HOLY TERROR. His two favorite games are playing with the slat of the metal mini blinds in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT and sitting in the window when my two, very large dobermans are outside to torment them. They try to get him through the window and I'm afraid they are going to break the glass. I've taken to leaving the mini blinds raised all of the time just so he won't be able to paw at the slats and make noise, but I CANNOT keep him out of the window sill. I've tried everything. Even spraying him with water in a spray bottle, but he LIKES it! Nothing works. How in the HECK do you train a cat?! I'm a dog person, my boyfriend is the cat person. The cat makes me so mad sometimes that I want to scream, then he comes up to me purring, and rubs against me, and he's so cute that I forget I was mad at him. I know how to train dogs, I have experience with them. Cats are WAY outside of my area of expertise. Can somebody help me?
my dogs aren't vicious, thanks. they are just curious because the cat is sitting in the window. they are perfectly fine with him when they are in the house. and there are plenty of other windows in the house that i would be perfectly fine with him sitting in. i even leave the curtains so he can see out. your response wasn't even relevant my question, i wanted to know how to train a cat. oh well, there's one in every crowd.
i'm going to try to foil thing first. i'm determined to win this battle! thanks for your help!
