How do I get rid of my neighbor's cats?
My neighbor has 3 cats that like to come over and use my yard as a litter box. I am tired of it and want them gone. I would like REAL answers, not silly ones telling me how to kill the cats, etc. I don't want to buy a dog, so that is out as well. Is there something you can buy at the store that will they don't like, gives off a certain scent, etc?

I have heard this this work so give it a try, if you are really desperate.

Roasted broken egg shells! They are safe, good for your yard and would not deliberately hurt the cat. Make sure you crush them in appropriate size and roast them in the oven until crisp. Sprinkle them around your yard, especially where the cats like to poop/pee.

Hope this helps!

I love cats and I can understand your predicament too.
If you see them spray water from a garden hose every time when you see them on your property. They really really don't like it, but it also doesn't hurt them. They'll learn they're not welcome there. Have respect for your neighbours though. Pets are litterally members of their family, so hurting them will be uncivilized human to human behaviour, not just cruelty to animals. Some of those other ideas are ok, try those too. Just don't use poisonous chemicals like detergents like one answer said; just because some detergent says its "environmentally friendly" doesn't mean its not poisonous, don't use that against them ! Stick with the cayenne spices and so on instead.

Cayenne pepper around the perimeter (providing you don't have other pets who might sniff this) the drawback is reapplication after a rain.
cats don't like mothballs either...(who does?)
can you talk to the neighbor?
are these indoor or outdoor kitties?
Outdoor cats are pretty persistent...
What are the cats exploring once they invade your yard?
Maybe a friend with a dog will donate some dog poop so you can place it strategically....at least that is free!
Good luck

My mom said they hate moth balls too. People use them in closets to keep moths away. They smell bad indoors!
