>Do boy dogs "spray" like male cats do?
I'm a cat person, but I've been asked to take care of a friend's year old UNALTERED standard apricot poodle. (She might be gone long term - *long story.*) He's a very nice boy, potty-trained, obedient, etc,, BUT there are A LOT of stray dogs in my neighborhood. Will he feel compelled to mark his territory to tell potential rival males to stay away/advertise his presence to the ladies, or is that a cat thing? If so, he'll have to stay in the basement, where I can "nuke" where he sprays with bleach. (If they do spray, is it as pungent and hard-to-get-rid of as cat urine smell?)
