Default cat acting out since another cat is home?

we had a cat named Stinkey and then got another cat named Snypes.. Stinkey died so we got a new cat named Smokey. Snypes and stinkey got along fine. but now Snypes has been acting out with Smokey. he has been peeing on floors and in beds. we even got 2 litter boxes and he has still been acting out. we gave Smokey away but the people who had him just had a baby and gave him back. plus we would like to keep them both, so how can i stop Snypes from acting out..(Smokey doesnt act up, just Snypes)

Well first of all, Snypes is probably upset about Stinkey's death. One way to get cats well aquainted is to have the new cat stay in one room, with his food, water, and litterbox, for a couple of days. Meanwhile, gradually increase the time the two cats spend together. This works, because Snypes will still feel he is "in charge" of his territory, making him feel less afraid that Smokey will take over it.

Try spending more time with Snypes and giving him special attention. He needs to feel wanted especially after his other companion died.

Snypes feels his area has been invaded by smokey, and he might also feel that you replaced stinkey with smokey and he wont let that happen. He just needs time to get used to him. If Snypes is not neutered that could possibly stop the peeing everywhere. They just need time to adjust.
