This has been asked and answered several times before but none of the offered solutions have worked for me. My approximately 9-week-old (originally stray) cat keeps constantly begging for food. And I don't mean just begging, she keeps meowing all day and night (not due to her loneliness or sadness) and when I'm about to eat she jumps right on the table and steals my food directly from my plate or even my hand. She keeps going through the rubbish to find any kind of food and occasionally ends up eating newspaper or anything she else she can find. I feed her 4 times a day plus started to keep some dry food for her at all times which she rarely touches. She has been with me for 4 weeks now and I've never given her any of the food that I'm eating. I've started to feed her regularly same time each day and also tried to spray a little bit water on her if she tries to steal my food, but it has absolutely no effect on her. She actually seems to enjoy the water! She is otherwise very affectionate, constantly with me, runs to me directly if I call her and sleeps next to me in bed. However when she weaks up she won't quiet down unless I feed her and if I don't I end up getting no sleep and a nagging headache. What should I do?!
