Best available food for cats?

As a loving and a devoted person I've been researching on pet food and especially cat and kitten food. I want to give them the very best and I assumed Hill's Science plan was as good as it can get- wrong. To my horror, it contains cereals and 'other' meat. So I moved to Iams, again same problem. I'm so confused. Ive come across Purely by Pets at Home, kitty likes it but it doesn't contain taurine which I believe is vital to there health. And although it contains 50% meat and reads great it's also dry, so I mix both iams and purely together. Is this ok? Can anyone suggest a premium food please? It's forever confusing. I want to give them my very best afterall i wouldn't want to eat 4% meat when I should be eating more. Thank you everyone. X
