Default Does this symptom indicate that my cat has a condition?

My cat is around five, maybe six years old. We got her around the age of one and had her fixed soon after. Recently (within the past month or so) the fur in the spot that had been previously shaved for the procedure is bald again. It was there before, but now, with no explanation, it's not. No one saw her biting at it, and there have been no clumps of hair around the house.

Is this something I should be worried about, or is it "just a typical cat thing"?

I agree with the other posters. This doesn't sound normal to me at all. You should probably take her into the vet to make sure nothing is wrong. Better safe than sorry, I say.

i would take her to the vet. i've never heard of anything like that, especially if no one's seen her biting at that area. i've had cats all my life and i would be concerned.

I've had a lot of cats in my life and the majority were spayed/neutered. I have never seen this kind of thing in any of my cats....so I don't know if it's serious condition, but I would definitely get her checked by a vet. By the way, I talked to my husband about this ( his mother bred them) and he said through all the cats he'd grown up around he'd never seen this problem either. Good luck!
