MY DOG does not like that much, HELP!!!?

My dog doesn't like me that much when i was little and didn't know any better i would trap him in corners but one week ago i carried him into my room and put him on my bed then he stayed with me the WHOLE time, and because of that he is a little bit closer to me!but still he doesn't like as much as i want him to does anyone have any ideas? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help!!!!!!!
