Default Will straightening my hair in my room with my bird in it effect her?

I know the question sounds kind of stupid, but there is something in hair dryers, air fresheners/perfumes, arisol sprays, and other hair products that is poisionous to birds, and since you can't use hair dryers around them I was thinking maybe this chemical might be in the ceremic on my straightener. Does anybody know if it is harmful? or of anything else that can be harmful to birds? My little canary past away a few days ago and I'm very protective over my new birds. I don't want them hurt because I didn't know about the hairdryer and hair product thing when I had my other bird and that could have been a contributor to her death. I feel horrible about it, she also showed signs of sickness before she died but I was unable to identify them, I recently figured out how to tell if they are sick. I wish I had this information when I had peanut, I might have been able to save her.

straightening your hair will NOT affect ure bird in any way
(well unless u try to straighten your bird feathers - which i strongly reccommend not to do)
&
some perfumes and sprays can be dangerous to birds... some people have asthma attcks from sprays, so its likely a spray could be dangerous to your bird so i would spray in a seperate well ventalated room to prevent any risks.

hope this helps =)

yes shes right, your straighner is fine around them, only danger that is there is if they are out and get burnt....so just be very careful.
as for saving your peanut, birds are prey animals so they hid their sickness til last minute, usually when its too late! so dont beat yourself up, there is a good chance there was nothing you could have done to help peanut! the definite downfalls to bird ownership is sudden deaths!!! its not like any other animal like dogs will show everything right away!
