Budgies are cool. Some can be quiet, then again, some can be noisy.
My grandparents have a budgie who doesn't stop talking about himself - he has learned his name, Jimmy, and he all he ever goes on about is himself haha. |

Cockateils are great beginners birds, good to train and a good size, budgies likewise but obviously much smaller. Some kind of peach-faces are easy to keep too but not as hands on as Cockatiels and Budgies can be.

parakeets are good pets but i would get 2 because 1 in a bird cage can get very lonely but if you get 1 it is good to turn on the TV when you go somewhere and him/her should not get lonely but if you get a boy and a girl there is a chance it could have a baby
Hopes This Helps! |

There are a lot of different conures, a sun conure can be LOUD.
Try a green cheek conure, there not that bad for a first. Though for a 'very first time' I would say a Cockatiel, budgie or parakeet. |
